To bring in the new year, Cleveland based deep dubstep producer, Rasper, is going to be releasing some low frequency sounds on the Ohio label, Rockers Dub.
Burrow EP is made up of three tracks that all carry fat sub lines and are riddled with a nice distant percussive feel. The EP flows very well together, and can easily be played a few times through back to back.
Deep dubstep may have taken a back seat in the world of electronic music, but the genre is still very much alive. With producers such as Rasper in every corner of the globe, this genre will hold it’s ground and be there for all the true heads.
Grab a free download of Where I Call Home (track 3), and when Burrow EP drops, make sure to get a copy on Juno!

The two hailing from New Zealand are some of the most productive and consistent producers in all of bass music, and from the sounds of these previews, they haven’t held back a bit. They’ve collaborated with many different artists and have kept it fresh throughout this deep sub-bass experience by implementing the grimey sounds of Joker and the precisely rhythmic vocals of MC Flowdan to name a few.
Listen through to each of these tracks and take in fresh sounds these two talented guys have provided, and get set to grab it June 10th!
As the more mainstream dubstep sounds seem to be a thing of the past and bring back memories of 2008-2010 for many, the deep dubstep scene has still held it’s place around the world and continued to stay underground, and out of the eyes of the masses. What keeps the sound so submerged?
This free download, Dark Frontier, presented by Deep Heads, was produced by Deafblind and Warsa, both of whom have vibrant solo projects. Enjoy the deep sound they’re pushing and make sure you download Dark Frontier!

I can’t say I’ve heard much of the French producer, Darj, in the past, but he is definitely on my radar as of now! He’s got an incredibly deep, tribal, dubstep, EP entitled PASSENGER, coming out on the British record label Tribe12 Music on March 25th. This EP is DEEEEP. Every track is laced with an intricate display of percussion and heavy bass lines that are definitely not missing any low frequency’s. My favorite of the EP is, without a doubt, Southfields Riddim. Tracks that carry a classic dubby vibe always hit my soul in the proper way. Big ups Darj and Tribe12 Music! We’re looking forward to the release of PASSENGER.
Here’s to a relaxing evening. Typesun of Bristol paints elegance into the score on this stellar tune, released this winter with Root Elevation.

…and we’re lamping.
Shouts to Deep Heads for the tip.

Here is one of my favorite anthems of 2009, We All Have To Get High (Tom Watson Remix), by the legendary German dub group, Dubblestandart. This tune is DEEEEEP. The old school wobbles are a beautiful reminder of the sound that originally caught my ear and started my love for dubstep. Enjoy this one!

While listening back through the Youngsta and J:Kenzo back to back set, this one crept in to the mix around 70 min and I instantly had to find out who it was. The Utrecht based producer TMSV has absolutely smashed it with this bassy percussive tune. This one’s a smooth one through and though.
No sign of a release yet, but it’s such a tune it would be a shame to not get to own this one. Check it out below and support TMSV on soundcloud!
Hailing from Seattle, the producer Dubtek is killing it with the deep sounds. While the majority of the sound is low end, this producer maintains a nice energy as this entrancing sub stomper rolls on. Definitely check the tune below and if you dig it, grab it! Its available in WAV for free straight from his soundcloud!
Also, below is a new remix Dubtek did of Truth’s tune “Southern Nights” (Available for free), as well as an unreleased banger along side the kiwi bass master Chewie.
**HUGE RELEASE ALERT**
These two deep ones are sure to do numbers on the day of the release, which lucky for us is within days. The Bristol based producer is set to release on the sub stomping label Deep Medi on December 5th, which if you don’t have your calendar right by you, is next Wednesday! Kahn’s production is so on point, these two tunes are just a couple examples of his many deep club bangers. I may have to grab this one on vinyl. Check the tunes and make sure you’ve got some low end capabilities with your speaks!
Orlando, FL, dubstep heavyweight Bryzergold is bringing the deep eerie vibes with this one! Launch is his new track that’s being released FOR FREE through Sub-Bass Productions. This song has got classic Bryzergold wobble that’s captivated people form the South East, all the way to South London, only this time Bryzergold has got a sub line that really carries the weight of this heavy tune, Launch. I’m loving the sound he’s crafted with this tune and the hard work he’s been putting into the Orlando scene. Check out his Soundcloud for more free downloads, mixes, and previews of what’s to come from the young producer! Big ups!
Quantum Soul just dropped clips of two new tunes on his soundclound account this morning that create some serious presence. Both songs, “Triad” and “Incubate” bring that ancestral vibe with dark, polyrhythmic, growling bass-laden foundations, and icantatory support from eerie vocals and wind. The atmosphere of these tunes creates a weightless and meditative sensation regardless of listening medium or location, and for that, Quantum Soul truly deserves acclaim. Although all we have are clips for now, look out for the release of these in the future and stay tuned to Quantum Soul.
EDIT: Quantum soul has taken the songs off of his sound cloud for now….
These clips come only a few weeks after the release of his Self Knowledge EP on Tribe 12 , which is well worthy of a listen as well. Quality sound from Quantum Soul, mad respect!
Kromestar and Jay five have demonstrated, with their September 24th release on DEEP MEDi musik, that dubstep is still as progressive and exciting as it has ever been. The diversity of sound and production quality on this EP not only command respect, but lead the way for the future. From the darker more industrial sounds of the first track, “Clearly Distorted”, to the deeper and more jazzy sounds of “Words” and “Try Harder”, this EP shows how clearly these two gentlemen out of London have utilized their combined creative worth to provide a fresh experience.
Although clips of this album have been out on Jay 5ive’s soundcloud for a while now, and the release was about two weeks back, this EP is well worthy of mention. With Each track as valuable to the arsenal as the next, please give it a listen start to finish. Clips of the album below.
Also check out DEEP MEDi for a grip of other artists that are pushing the sound
